The pub is over 200 years old and has low beams, giving a cosy atmosphere.

The pub was recently completely refurbished, during which time the restaurant was extended and new toilet facilities were installed.

There are two TVs in the lounge area which will show the Premier League football or horse racing (quietly) if there is an event being staged.

At the bar there are also the spirit 'specials', where a large Gin, Vodka or Scotch (dbl = 50ml) costs just £2.70.

As well as various beers and guest ales, there are numerous excellent wines & champagnes available.
